  • Please help to identify this guitar

My guitar looks identical to this except my hardware is chrome and my guitar is black. The serial # starts with a 9 and it has a made in Japan sticker on the back of the neck.

My wife bought it for me last Christmas. I searched the Jackson catalogues and found the made in Japan Dinky's but they have black hardware like the picture above.

Is my guitar a special series? My wife paid $375 Canadian for it. That seems cheap for a Japanese Jackson.

    Any ideas out there?

DK2. The older models like yours have chrome hardware.

Yup what Joe said. DK2. If she got it new. It may have been on clearance to make room for the new stock.

        Thanks for you help guys.
What year could my guitar be?

I cant find the DK2 with Chrome hardware in the 2008 - 2009 catalog or the 2006 catalog on http://www.jacksonguitars.com/support/catalogs.php
There is no catalog for 2007 on the Jackson site

Sounds like a DK2 from 2002 back. Does it have Duncan designed pickups in it?

                        Around 2005-6 I'd say
