Yeah back in the day I used to be a huge Ibby fanboy. Now they have absolutely nothing that interests me other than that guitar. Well the 770 and 550 reissues too. I picked up the 2610 off my buddy used in brand new condition with the BKP installed at a great price. It's an awesome guitar.

I think the main reason was to outshine and compete with the ltd alexi 600's.

          I still wish they'd offer a two hum model or a RR5MFR...

I personally wouldnt like only having a single pickup plenty of guys can use them I just like messing with the neck and tone and volume, if you play straight up rock/metal then I guess you could live with the single pup I'd have to get a neck pickup routed which is expensive...

I keep hoping they offer a two hum version soon I assumed one wouldnt be too far around the corner due the dk2ms success...

Same as me. But everything in my playing is because I am a zakk wylde fan boy. I go for that same tone. And his best sounding are all done on an EMG 85 in the neck. That is why I never bought an RR24.
I hooked up my accelerator pedal in my car to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.

Alexi is god. If I could go back to anytime, (other than dimes death), I take a shot gun with me and blow that fucker that stole alexis gears brain out.

Why 2 pickups? If you got right pickup, you don´t need anything else. My opinion.

Theres plenty of pickups I could take on their own the EMG 81 isnt close to being one of them..

At a push the 85 could be nicer..

Still theres more great players that utilise a neck pickup than those using bridge only Early VH comes to mind but he also had two pickup guitars... that explorer thing maybe an LP too...

But remember I coulda sold my explorer to torrey? I could had an RR24, but the lack of the neck pickup killed it. And I didn't want the RR5 because I hate passives, and they were both unbound. But after playing my bird for so long, I can't even imagine another guitar now.

That reminds me, not to start old arguments again, but RR666 has seen this guitar. To those who didn't believe I own it.

I was always thinking of this guitar, and it looks awesome, but I think the one pick up sort of held me away from it, but only a bit. Though, the reason I got my Jackson was for metal, so I really don't think it would have been a huge problem.
