    First Jackson Guitar... Help me find a new one?

    Hey new to the forums. My name is Tom, and I am a Dean Guitars forumite, but I recently fell in love with Jackson guitars, and got a mid-90s Dinky Professional in Trans-blue... but I ran into some bad stuff with it already!

    As I was opening it I was extremely excited... but you'll see that it isn't the best thing ever...

    As I was opening it I took these...




    ^^There was a cover on top of that one, with some free allen wrenches on it... cool I guess.

    Then I got to the actual box. Moment of well, truth...



    Wham, broken headstock.

    Now, can anyone help me find a similar guitar? I'm sending this one back on Monday for a full refund. I had gotten this one for $440 shipped, and I don't want to spend more than that for a similar guitar. I just don't want a broken headstock again!

    bummer man - well you can find dinkys all the time for cheap, just keep a watch out -
    looks like they didn't pack it right - i don't see any bubble wrap -
    headstocks should be wrapped by many inches of bubble wrap, and even double boxed the guitar should not move at all inside.

    I always ask how it will be packed or instruct the shipper exactly how to pack it.

      I've really liked the Eerie Dess Finish, and I love the HSS setup. I need a floyded guitar, because my only decent guitar is a Dean ML with 2 Super Distortions, and no floyd...

        damn, that sucks man.

        but yeah, looking around, it seems it wont be too hard to find a pro dinky. I dont know any sites though, at least places that can be trusted.

                That hurts just looking at it. Good luck in getting another one from someone who isn't a clown. I once bought a KE3. Opened the box, just the guitar. Not even any polystyrene. Good job I was carting it home.

                  I had that happen with a Charvel once. The guy disappeared from the face of the earth. That was back before Ebay did a good job of tracking people down.

                    Gahhh this sucks so bad. Tomorrow it's going back to the seller, and I'll get my $440 back... but it's IMPOSSIBLE to find a 90s Pro that looks exactly like it.

                    I really need some help finding some sites that sell 90s Pro Dinkys. I really want one badly, and it's such a mind game having one sitting in my house broken!

                      Don't send it back man! Get it fixed. a good luthier can fix that so good you won't even tell it was ever broken.. just ask the seller to reimburse the cost of the repair
