Why? I don't remember many great Jap metal bands. In fact...there's never been one. So how come they get bonus tracks on CDs that I don't get, and cool Jackson stuff that I don't get.
    Hey Japs, you guys suck!

Trem thanks for those Links I have 2 bands I need to find all about now, especially Anthem

I have edited my comment to Matinbarrel1, I just took offense to it being half Japanese, when I first read it. I love both aspects of my parents & have spent time in Okinawa & in Osaka. I felt the comment was a bit racist.

Drake, my dad is Japanese too, but I interpreted Martinbarre's comment to be more in line with what RobRR said below,

I used to get annoyed at all the Japanese imported CD's - hidden bonus tracks, free posters, etc. because you had to pay 40% on top to get that version and wait stupid times before it got delivered if at all.

Thanks Rob & Quantum, I guess even in my 30's I'm still kinda put off by it I've been called half breed all my life or worse, once again I removed my comment Cause Robbrr had pointed out the obvious, & I have a short fuse anyway. Thank you both .

                    Japanese Bands

I myself was fortunate enough to see Akira Takasaki play live with the original lineup of Loudness in 1985 in Hachinohe, Japan. The Japanese Rock. These rockers throw their fists in the air the entire show. It was a great experience. Japanese people go out of their way to help americans. They love our culture. I also got to see the Temple with the Giant Buddah. It was cool. I was in the Military at Misawa Air Base.

I just took a look at the website with Google translator and the product page is divided into Jackson and Jackson Stars. I'm guessing here that the Jackson Stars part is just the last models they made, but is the Jackson part the new one? Because it's just the Pro series models you can get in the States. Does that mean they're killing off all the unique models for the Japanese market or is it just that they haven't built the new site?

It would really suck if they killed the all the stuff unique to the Japanese market (excluding USCS) like 24 fret, two pickup Rhoads models and not to mention the Limiteds!

Unfortunately, I think that the former is the way things are going to roll...

About two years ago, the distributor for Fender in Japan also became the distributor for Jackson Stars. I'm thinking that FMIC will flex their corporate muscle to uniformize the MIJ Jacksons for the Japanese market to be the same as the Pro series.

At the Tokyo guitar show this past spring, I asked the guys from Chushin Gakki (the Japanese Jackson factory) whether they're bringing the custom shop back, and they said that it was very unlikely, because FMIC didn't want there to be two custom shops associated with the brand.

All I can say is, I'm glad I got my Jackson Stars semi custom when I did

As an Englishman I am mildly offended by that

I feel victimised and demand an apology from anyone and everyone who may or may not be related to, involved with, or in any other way implicated in being a party to offensive acts and/or thoughts against the English...

If theres anything people need to take from this thread, they need to have learned 2 things.

                                1. The loss of the Jackson Stars custom shop stuff is a bummer. The loss of the name is no biggie of course.

                                2. Akira Takasaki isn't just a monster of Japanese metal. He's a monster guitar player. Plain and simple.
