He probably looked online for it, and chose the wrong one. I couldn't care less, I was looking for the EDS Swirl with the Rosewood board and white sharkfins, not for a DK2M. So it doesn't make a difference to me.

It's paid off, he told me he's going to pack it extra well, and it will be shipped and insured through USPS. (Yes, USPS)

Better than UPS! I like using the post office for some shipments.

That sounds about right, the picture shows a chrome trem, which would place it pre-2006, unless it's not stock of course.
        I like maple fretboards. :P

Chrome hardware is an instant giveaway. The "newer" DK2 has black hardware and real Seymour Duncan pickups.

So what kinda pickups did the older one have?

From the looks of it, it SEEMS like they are real Duncans by the logo but it COULD say "Duncan Designed" like on my previous Dinky that was broken during shipping...

Hmm, a tiny bit dissapointing, but knowing me the guitar won't stay stock for very long. In the long run I'm probably going to OFR it and black out the hardware, and swap all the pickups for something more Hair Metally.

These mods of course, won't happen as soon as I get the guitar, so I'll just wait and see if I like the guitar!

Your DK2 is a 2003 model, I have one that was made 2-23-2003 and my serial # is 9712000, and yes it has got duncan designed Pups. I've done alot of un grades and since I put is a new Floyd Rose Pro trem system I plays like a dream, and of course change the Pups to real SD would be better. Good Luck!

Here's mine after I made the same changes. The bridge pu is a Dimarzio D-Sonic (Petrucci) and the middle is a Duncan Scorcher HB. I'm bad about flipping guitars but this one is a keeper.

Wow, that Dinky's top looks awesome!

Pickups look a little off, but hey, that's a sharp guitar. Hope mine looks just as good when it gets here, I just got the tracking number, it was shipped yesterday.

And to the guy that has the 2003 model, did the original trem feel alright atleast? Will it stay in tune or will the knife edges dull out really quickly like on the low end Dean Guitars?

I had some problems with it staying in tune, especially when I dive bombed it, it never returned to zero, I had it checked out and the knife edges were worn, so instead of fixing the Original JT580 I put in a OFR, works and plays like a dream now, but if yours is ok, then let it be, atleast until you have a problem IMO
