  • Right locking nut for DR3 Professional

My DR3 made in Japan circa 1996 needs a new locking nut (stripped threads completely of B-E block, I think the metal isn't of the best quality here). However, I'm not sure which locking nut is best for this.
    http://www.prorockgear.com/specs/SPE...UTS%201-10.htm

I measured the old nut dimensions:
    Width 43.4mm
Height to D-string slot bottom: 6mm
    From E-E middle: 36.7mm

    Based on width options are: R3, R4, R8, R9, R10 (42.85mm)
R10 would have best matching height at D, 6.10mm.
    R3 and R4 are too high, 7.1mm

But what is the correct radius for DR3? I've not been able to find it from web. I assume 12" (R3) or 15" (R10) would be nearer the truth than 10" (others), but ... just guessing!

Any ideas about DR3 fingerboard radius, correct nut # or other advice?

If I really need to test my luck, I would probably try R10 and hope for the best. Too bad these are relatively expensive and shipping ain't free either.

Check the underside if the nut. There should a size on it R3, R4, exc.... It should have a takeuchi trem ion it so the nut would be an "Import" piece.
    It's pronounced soops
