Yeah, it was shipped just like that. It made them careful I guess! There was absolutely NO packing inside whatsoever, but I don't care, it made it!

As I write this, it just got here less then half an hour ago, so it's still warming up, the thing is sooo cold. I may have to set it up once it's room temperature, but hey, it's worth the wait. I get to take it to school tomorrow lol.

Wow, I have never seen a guitar that was shipped like that before. Usually It's wrapped in something, atleast. It's kind of strange cause I do believe that your the person who bought the DK2 and it arrived badly packed and broken. If that was you. Very interesting...

I have had a few ship just in the case. Only one was damaged and I flipped that one a made a $75 profit.(cheap guitar to begin with too)

Well, Jackson themselves ship it in the case inside an unpadded box, so I guess it's okay.

Glad it came through okay. I usually don't like the EDS, but that one looks nice!

Not if it's an import... they just come in a cardboard box. Unless newer imports come with cases now.
I got a Kelly XLR once off of ebay, and the seller just taped a piece of carboard around the middle of the case with my name and address on it. Luckily, it arrived safe and sound.

Jackson, as well as most other guitar manufacturers, need a lesson in how to properly pack a guitar.

Some imports do come with cases now, hence the prices have jacked up.

yeah my KV1 arrived just like that. no packing outside or inside whatsoever. just a case with a sticker on it. came with some damage on the wings because the case wasn't even a KV1 case per se (body cutout was a bit big so it moved inside). that's a nice DK2 dude
