i think its around a 2002 model. if it was mint in my mind 500 bucks would be tops. i would not pay more than 450 at a store for that particular model. 400-450 would be the range imho.DK2 EERIE DESS

Is that solid blue in color or is there a flame wood top?
The brushed aluminum hardware wasn't a very popular seller and was dropped.
Yeah, $599.00 is way too high. 1/2 that would be right if the case is not included. Add $50-$75 for a hard case. Search ebay completed auctions and you'll see what we mean.
My first Jackson was a new Pavo Purple DK2 purchased on ebay for $280, no case. This was in Feb 2005.
edit: Just read in the title that this is a used guitar? Then $599.00 is a crackhead too high price. Tell that store not to do you any favors, run, don't walk away....Last edited by DonP; 12-02-2009, 10:08 PM.

WTF they go new with real Seymour duncans for that price. It is a very nice guitar but they are trying to rape you. Personally I would never deal with them again- they know you are inexperienced and are trying to take advantage.
Go to eBay. I got that same axe for my brother, used, for less than half that price, with a gig bag.
They are far from rare- if you want one you will have one for way less well before christmas.
Also, the new models have seymour duncan pickups and will say that on them. The old ones will say "Duncan designed". My brothers has the latter- they're actually not bad, but the older ones go at a substantial discount to the new ones with real Seymour duncans.
Take don and everyone elses advice on this one- it ain't a "tweener", that deal just flat out sucks unless you're outside the USA. Maybe the shop is clueless and paid too much to take it in use but your shouldn't pay for their mistake.Last edited by Vass; 12-02-2009, 11:08 PM.

Thanks all that replied and commented
I had a feeling that it was not worth that kind of coin.I started investigating the models more closely and started seeing all the different variations and origins and the serial # gave it away.I know the us made models are more desirable of course depending on year variation and neck through or bolt on.But I am just a novice at this and I just wanted to make sure His First Quality guitar was not a lemon and a hard lesson learned. So we will start hunting again now with more knowlege. Thanks to all again and you guys will see him on here soon for the info etc...
Thanx Chris:idea:

Mine is a dk2 new than that, but it has the erie swirl paint job they were asking 550 i got it out the door for 400. Mine had the Duncan Designed. There not to bad, but nothing too the new seymour duncans on them. So, 600 no.. try like 400 or go somewhere else that'll do it for around 400 and little more if you get the ones w/seymour dincans.yermsayin?
