  • Help! Rhoads ID.

I bought this Rhoads off my friend a couple months ago and I haven't been able to figure out the model and production year yet.

Looks like an RX10D (X series). Others will tell you more .

      BUMP.

Anyone else? The serial doesn't match anything I've found for an rx10d.

I have a complimentary thread about a MII X series KVX10, it looks like the sister to your Rhoads:

With the JT500 tremolo, Duncan Designed pickups and an eight digit serial number starting with 0, I believe it's a 2000 or 2001 MII (India) X series RX10D. Take a look at the 2001 Jackson catalog (the 2000 catalog doesn't have good pictures of the X series yet):

Crafted with the demands of the discernible player in mind, Jackson guitars give you the shapes, finishes and tones you love. From the venerable Rhoads, Soloist, Warrior and more, shop Jackson for the highest performance.

My MII X series KVX10 with serial 01020218 looks to have been made in 2001 (not sure if the MII X series serial can be decoded, but if it's a raw build count then yours looks earlier than mine)

I concur with Pointy & kc7: your guitar is a 2000 RX10D, Made in India. Usually the first 2 digits of 8 digit Indian serials denote the year.
