  • The rare Bolt on MG Soloist

I had a little laugh reading the description of this auction until I saw the last photo supporting the seller's claim.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Jackson-Soloist-...item19b856799e

He has a "rare" bolt on version of the SLSMG with EMG HZ pickups and a JT390 fixed bridge with a 3+3 headstock. It looks like a DXMGT to me, especially since it has EMG HZ pickups in it and a 3+3 headstock. The kicker is he has a receipt dated 2008 that shows he paid $900 for an MG Soloist.

Absolutely a DXMGT. Since there weren't a whole ton of them, I'm sure the store did think it was a SLSMG.

I think probably a combination of store ignorance and gulliable buyer is closest to the mark.

Who voted for "A real 'rare' MG Soloist bolt on" in the poll? Well, if there is at least one on here that believes it's a soloist then maybe he will be able to find a buyer on eBay.

It's a real sad situation; it looks like he got ripped off badly by Sam Ash Music and now he's going to rip someone else off via ignorance.

I'd go with that or the receipt is for a different guitar.

Definitely a DXMGT. Can't blame the seller though, assuming the receipt is real. I'd bet that 75% of guitar players don't know the difference between Dinky and Soloist.
