Jackson Stars were only made in Japan for the Japanese market. The serial number is underneath the 24th fret, as there are only 24. And it would be a neck-through body construction, not set neck.
I guess the pickups are the only thing not original on it.

That's a legit Stars model.

The SLAT3-6 was sold in the world markets, and yes, they had a date coded 6 digit serial on the fret board and a MIJ sticker.
Whether these Japanese market serials are also date coded, I'm not sure.

Hey, I have a Jackson Concert ex with a 94x seven digit number. Would that make it a 94? I have another weird question regardling differences in catalogs. The Ex is supposed to come with the jb340 bridge, but a lot of Concert ex basses I see (and all catalog pics) show the heavier duty jb440 bridge. (This bridge is also on the Charvel basses, I know because I own two Charvels) yet mine actually has the bridge the catalog says. So weird!

It would be a '94, yes.
I don't know enough about the bass to comment on specs, but the catalogues contain a LOT of errors.

Thanks, and yes they definitely dropped the ball with the catalog thing. I would dare say that most of these have the "wrong" high mass bridge than ones with the correct standard bridge. Another oddity would be the black neckplate compared to the silver and black Jackson plate. After a little research I believe that mine has parts that only came on ones made in 94. The ones with the 'wrong' hardware have six digit serials often starting with three.

It still amazes me how much isn't really documented about these guitars, especially regarding changes over the years. Sometimes you never know about a certain spec untill you own it!

Bought this lil' beauty just for the looks and playability, but I'm lacking some information concerning it.

Haven't had any luck finding it from the official catalogs, mainly because of the colour on this one. So if any of you knows something, please do tell.

9629302 should be '99-2000. Pretty sure it's a DK2...they had satin chrome hardware at that time. I'm not sure about the colour, but it could be the MBS graphic offered in the '99 catalogue. Midnight Blue Sparkle?...not sure if that's what MBS is, though.

Somehow I managed to jump over the '99 catalogue and miss that MBS colour. But yeah, it does look like that!
Got any idea how much it would valued these days? No case, but everything seems to be original.

Looking at a Jackson Professional bound sharkstooth reverse headstock neck that has a J005632 serial number stamped on the back of the headstock.....?

Hard to tell without a picture or detailed description, but those stickered J0xxxxx stickers were a mid '90s thing that were common on models such as the Kelly XLR...which had no neck plate. Google an XLR and compare to yours.

I have what looks to be a soloist reversed headstock (Though I'm unsure if it is a soloist) with the serial 650012725 on a silver sticker on the back of the headstock. It has an original floyd rose made in Germany. If anyone could help me identify the country or origin and year of production that would be great. Pictures can be provided as well. Also, the headstock just has a jackson logo.

I have a Jackson reverse headstock guitar which I believe is a soloist. It has the serial 650012725 on a silver sticker on the back of the headstock. It has an original Germany Floyd rose and the headstock only has a jackson logo on it. It looks to be a bit old, the finish has worn out a bit. Any info on country of origin and year would be great.
