Cleaning my new Dinky

Hi all,
Just brought my new baby home (pics soon).
The question is, which cleaning product is safe to use on the fretboard? I have a Dinky DK2 with the pearl inlays....will the product affect the finish??
Also, what about for the body itself, any suggestions?

i have a dk2 i use dunlop 65 lemon oil
leave it on there for a couple minutes then rub it all off and then i like buff it a little comes up all nice n shiny

yeah that stuff works ^ i use mr ducks i think its called, it cleanes eveything.

I tired Dr. Ducks Ax Wax but checked into it since it contains petroleum distillates.
While the Ax Wax make the board look good, it does nothing to condition the board.

I use it to polish my guitars which all have painted bodies.

I personally like to use the "Fret Doctor" I'll never go back to anything else.

And to answer your question, your inlays should be fine. Get the Fret Dr., you won't be disappointed.

AFAIK, rosewood and ebony fretboards should be regularly cleaned with lemon oil products. they are left left untreated and should be cleaned 1-2 times a year to prevent cracking. maple fretboards, on the other hand, are often lacquered, and these fretboards can be cleaned with dry wipe.
for body, use some generic polishing/cleaning product...

Any fretboard cleaning products will be fine with the inlays, you don't need to worry about that. I have the Dunlop System 65 Kit and it does a good job. Though I don't use the fretboard products on my DK2M of course, maple doesn't need them.

And just an aside, as far as I know, the DK2s have never used real pearl for the inlays, they use a type of plastic known as MOTO.
