I was about to get the same deal from another ebay seller.. maybe 850 is the magic number! In the end I ended up going cheaper but once I get another job I might rethink that decision!

Newc, that's similar to the Jackson Stars you sold me, same inlays even. Let us know how it plays.

          Well, it's here.

Knob fell off in shipping, so it rolled around the back of the guitar a little.

And the spec sheet says "Seymour Duncan Zebra" for both pickups. Fail.

Pics after I've played it a bit more

Ouch, I had that happen to my Custom Soloist.
Cept mine is Black, and the knurls bumped enough to expose a whitish primer underneath. Pissed

Congrats! Glad there was minimal shipping drama, considering she traveled in the nude.

                  Pics:

The edges are thinner than the NASL or USA SLS, and there's a fairly sharp tapered bevel that goes along the length of the body - reminds me of the way the top of a Killer RG model is cut.

Probably not thick enough for a Floyd unless you had a custom block made.

The bridge pickup is mounted on a tall ring like you'd find on a Les Paul, that's how thin the body is compared to the neck angle (which is perfect).

I did have to adjust the intonation on 3 strings (6, 4, and 1) and the bridge pickup's sitting at a wierd angle - bass side is normal but treble is kicked up really close to the strings. Whatever, it sounds good. Still don't know what pickups are in it. If it's a JB in the bridge, it's the first one I like. Maybe cuz of the angle?

Anyhooo, it just so happens I've got a set of creme rings which are tall, so thinking about a swap there. Not sure about the hardware. I just don't really dig the Stormtrooper look. It still looks like plastic to me.
                  Maybe gold or chrome.

                          Aren't black/creme and black/white both considered zebra?
                          Nice guitar, BTW!

Yeah, but I think he means the spec sheet doesn't tell which model Duncans are in there. It only says "zebra".

                            Nice guitar Matt!

Ah, I get it now. I think they should be '59s... at least that's what I remember reading somewhere.

Let's get some feedback on how that baby plays! Can't find anyone around here that carries this higher end stuff....just tons of RRs & DKMs. They have WALLS of Les Pauls, Stratocasters & Dean crap. I get alot of " we can order that in for you" replies. If I am spending this kind of money on something it better "fit" for me.
My DK2 weighs in at 7lbs 6oz on my scale. I see this is about a pound lighter. Do you feel that difference? What about TONE? Does the neck thru & string-thru feel as solid as I think it would? How are the '59s?
Give me some details my Good Man!
