  • NGD Jackson Po'B DK2

Hey guys. Some of you read the other post, but here is now at home. I got some nice pics, but these were taken home. I kinda of impulse bought this one, but i do this a lot lately. I inspect it quickly to ensure no huge faults in the guitar, if it clears i go home. I do most if not all of my maintenance and modifications. I am not new to soldering irons and wiring schema, as i have worked as a technician in electronics for a while now. So anyways, i get home, snap some pictures of it, and then i decided to set her up. Strings looked old, but il go grab a pack later this week. So i pull off the trem cavity cover and i noticed i got myself a Tremel-No free! I don't think the man new what is was. Turns out he bought it used for his son, who never really got into it. I just bought it for 320$. I dealt it down from his original 450$. I am now thoroughly happy with my purchase. I tuned her up (took me under 10 minutes to reset and adjust the spring tension. Thank you Tremel-No.) and plugged her in. I didn't turn the volume up too high, but i'm liking these Duncan Designed pick-ups more than the Seymours that come with the new Pro series. These ones have a lot of bite and a nice crunchy crisp blues tone on the neck. I might still change them if i can get myself an DiMarzio Evo or Paf Pro for cheap.

Was this a good deal - i think i made a nice purchase, but i am not familiar with how much an Import Jackson is.

          Pile O Bones?

The correct term IIRC is Pile O Skulls...

Well, in this case, Ron's right... POS = Pile O Skulls.

Yup , but it's the first time i've gotten anything with graphics on it. I came close to getting an old BC Rich ST-III with a lightning on it, but that never happened. Most of the ones with graphics today are, cheesy like you say, and also cheap guitars. Ibanez for instance make some pretty designs but sell them in their korean and indian line-up. Same with BC RICH. Sure it's nice the 12 year who are starting get to have chunk of ply wood with a 200$ sticker on top, but wheres all the fun of the 80's. Air brush pizazz. Japan flags, flags, blood and guts, animal print you know ?

Love graphics, especially on metal guitars.

My problem is that I'm not very creative with coming up with ideas.

I love the artwork that people do. Makes the guitar a work of art.
