    Great stuff:

SL2HT -- probably out of my price range
    DK2T -- front runner
    DKMGT -- front runner
SLSMG -- hadn't considered that one, looks good
DR3 -- hadn't heard of that one, lemme check in to it

I'll keep looking for these at the local shops.

    Thanks guys!
    Jackson DK2 (trans blue)
    Jackson DKMGT, EMG-Hz (trans black)
    Ibanez SZ520QM (blue)
    Esteban American Heritage (HSN special)
Fender Precision 1982 w/EMG P&J (road worn for real)

    I yearn to shred.

Mine is a 96 year.. Don't know all the years they made them.

The stock pup's suck... There Duncan designed, and sound very muddy... I replaced the bridge pup with a SD JB. Really like it.

I payed $370 shipped with TKL hard case. Don't know what your budget is...

Anyway.. good luck with your search.... The other guitars are great guitars also..

Fuckem he's a newbie too. And on the rude side sometimes.

the JS series necks I think the fretboard is not as wide as most of the other jacksons but thicker. the neck specs: .775 1st fret .910 12th. the DKMG is .735 1st; .810 at the 12th. Since they just upgraded the JS series some stores trying to get ride of their old stock. I know I saw the v and the rhoads at $200 instead of 300 at GC a few weeks ago.

Yeah I have a rude nature. I don't mean anything by that, it's just the way i am . I wasn't raised in a church and it seems a lot of people seem pink on the inside when they don't hear what they want. I didn't say it was garbage, i said in comparison to something BETTER , it is garbage or replace that with INFERIOR if it'll save you some kleenex. I am an Ibanez guy through and through and i know where you're coming from. The SZ were pretty cool in filling a gap between a modern guitar with gibson chunky tone and some slick styling. I think it was underrated, but a lot of people didn't clue in on them and since they were mostly produced in Korea, they never saw their true potential. It's like they were immortalized as a beginner to intermediate instrument. I say that's mind over matter, but heh between the SZ or a nice prestige RG, il chuck out some more dough and get the goods.

Besides i stand by what i said. What do you want us to tell you about the current line up that the friggin website can't. You're telling us you have a hard time locating two Jacksons in your area, what are the odds you are going to find a Jackson that will fit your demands and for the budget you established it for. Good luck with all that and again don't cry so much, it's nothing personal it's just the way i come off at times. I'm not a jerk, i just don't beat around the bush. hehe

Fender, you're a newbie yourself and you are being a dick. Leave that to the old timers.

All in a good day's fun.

Be honest, if you can't even spell GC, you are heading for a smackdown

Oh, and don't worry about Fender. Do a search for the Ibanez thread for some fuel to put a smackdown on him

You kidding? The guys here have told me TONS already. This has been well worth my time. The website just has specs.

OK, that was pretty 'tarded. Got no defense for that one.

Yeah I like Newbies helping Newbies. It's a nice change of pace. Eventually a newbie gets in a fight with an older member and all the snarkiness stops. But until then it's funny to see them fighting eachother!
I hooked up my accelerator pedal in my car to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.
