  • What's this hole for?

Battery compartment of an RR24, does anyone know what this pluged hole is?

In case anyone was wondering, if you remove the battery harness you can fit 2x9V in there

I'd be looking at whether that hole is an unavoidable leftover from e.g. a wiring access hole from one compartment to another. Like on a Les Paul, there's a big long drill hole goes all the way from jack to switch IIRC. Maybe there's no choice but to drill and fill when it's being built.

I'll stick my finger in, poke it and see what happens!

Could be an alignment hole for a dowel pin when gluing up the body blank.

That is so they know how many people take out the battery box, the Fender Big Brothers monitor the net for the question, then come to your house dressed in black suits driving blacked out Suburbans, confiscate all of your gear, and inter you at Area 51 in a cryogenic chamber intended for aliens half your height.
Bon Jovi is like a frozen Coca Cola.. It's cool, it's crunchy, but when all is said and done it is still pop....
