  • NGD! Warning: King V Pro content inside

Well, finally got myself a King V - a MIJ Pro series, in fact! Great guitar.. a bit put off that the seller on ebay failed to disclose a good amount of dings, a slightly chipped horn, and other wear, but it's all good in the end... Vs are road warriors, not museum pieces!

Neck pickup is stock and sounds great (the Lawrence), the bridge 92C had been replaced with one of those DiMarzio D-Activators.. I'm still not sold on it. It's very very clear sounding, even clearer than my full shreds, but I'm not big on the DiMarzio "hi-fi" sound. To JB or not to JB... hehe.

Nice! I always wanted one of these, but prices went through the ionosphere!

Yeah. This was the first one I saw under $1k, since I've been looking.

That's a Kahler fixed bridge, correct?

That's a pretty cool guitar, man. I have never seen one before!

Thanks a lot! I love em all. The dinky and soloist are my standard-tuning guitars, the pointy guys get D-standard tuning, since they're so metal. The SL2H is one of the warmest sounding guitars I've ever owned, and the DK2 is one of the brightest. I love that contrast.

Yup, Kahler flatmount non-trem bridge. Easily replaceable with a stopbar/TOM without having to fill a nasty hole. But you'll need a low-profile TOM.
