Yeah the KV pro came out in '93 and the KV1 came out in '96, however he had customs similiar to both those guitars since the mid 80s.

Willie Gee, Daves Guitar tech, has on numerous ocasions stated that Dave plays the korean ones live because they are slightly lighter (therefore easier on his back) and sound very similiar to the USA ones. All of the Silver, Black and graphic guitars he plays are imports, the only usa made ones are the transparent top ones

All of Dave's Jacksons (aside from floyds and string-thru) had the Kahler 3330 (one of the best fixed bridges in existence), the KV pro is identical spec wise to his KV1s and his own customs, he actually almost exclusivly played the KV pros while touring for youthanasia and the KV pros are widely considered to be as good as or better than his KV1s playability wise and with a change of pick ups sound identical.

Sorry, I don't religiously study dean guitars, buddy.

If you're going to call me ignorant, I'm going to be the better man and not call you on all your spelling errors. .

I knew the bridge on the KV Pros were Kahlers, but I call them False Kahlers because they're fixed bridges, though they look almost identical to them. I didn't know the model number off-hand, because the only Kahlers I'm familiar with are the 2300 series, and the Flyers.

Also, yeah, if the specs were the same, it's pretty obvious when you look at it, that he'd rather tour with the Imports, because they're 1/3 the price.

Also, you don't have to turn on the just because I'm wrong about something.

        Thanks.

Its called guitarianity :P and I apologize if I seemed hostile, I was purely upset by the fact that you stated something untrue as fact. Arrogance really ticks me off. Also Dave gets all his Deans for free, import or USA, he simply prefers the import (lighter) guitars due to his back condition.

Once again I apologize for calling you ignorant, I also apologize for going so far off-topic.

now that that's over with, lets kiss and make up :P
