Alexi what's-his-face likes it, and that's why the market is hot for those.

If you know electronics, you can try making it into a pedal temporarily to see if you like it.

Personally, I like keeping my guitars stock and original. But in general, I don't like the extra weight from lugging batteries around, and the other related issues (noise).
