Jackson DXMG added to the collection

This one sat on ebay with a buy now price. With a couple of hours to go I put in a brutal offer!!!! Woke up in the morning offer was excepted, looks like a nice clean guitar for the price.

Sorry man, not a DXMG. But, basswood body, flamed maple veneer, DD pups, should be a nice axe to grind.

Yeah, DXMG would have EMG HZ's otherwise very similar spec wise.

I saw the Duncans on there and wondered if the HZ's had been swapped out. The "mg" in DXMG refers to EMG pups.

Yeah I now realize this is it a DX10D Model? What you get for buying at midnight half asleep. Did I lose much for a couple of hundred with a case????

If you paid around $200 US, I'd say you did good. A hard case runs around $100 so,

Are these bodies basswood or alder? They say alder in the ones on Ebay? Looking at other ones on Ebay I don't think i paid too much

'06 catalog says Basswood. I'd say someone with more knowledge would know for sure.

Here's Chris Cannella--a Jackson rep--talking about and playing a DX10D. He says it's alder. Once you get the guitar in your hands take the neck off. The date should be stamped in the neck pocket. After you get the date of manufacture check the catalog scans. You should have a better idea of what the body is made of then.

$200 with a case would be very hard to pass up.

$200 for a Jackson with sharkfin inlays is a great price, add a case and it's an even better deal.
