Anything special about the 2000-2001 KV4's

I just picked one up off of fleabay this past week and well it looks a little rougher in person than the pics showed. So I'm thinking about sending it off to have it painted a more brighter silver. The Platinum is a little dull to my likings and i'm looking for something more like Titanium So is there anything really significant about the value of this guitar with that particular paint job that should stop me from repainting it a brighter silver?

Fair enough!! I noticed in the old 2000 & 2001 Jackson magazines off their website they either have the Platinum or Natural finish.
