I'm interested in getting a DK2S as well. Would appreciate any feedback y'all have on them.

I would advise you to check out the sponsoring dealers here at the JCF - I don't see a link like there used to be, but Matt's has a banner up there at the top of the page, there's Nick at Piney Hills, there's the other Matt I think - all will do you good, a lot better than (hocccccck ptui) Guitar Center!"Quiet, numbskulls, I'm broadcasting!" -Moe Howard, "Micro-Phonies" (1945)

Yes, it will look brown, depending on the lighting of the room.
I've previously owned a DK2S in amber sunburst (the later one with black hardware). Nice guitar. Like an idiot, I traded it towards an RR24...Last edited by wilkinsi; 07-07-2010, 06:38 PM.Fuck ebay, fuck paypal

I just got a DK2, without the sustainer, in october pearl, last Tuesday. I've been too busy working 14hr days to post pics, but plan on doing so later today. I believe it's pretty much the same guitar less the sustainer.
I can't speak for the PS4 but I was stunned at the quality of this guitar. Yes the neck is bound, but I don't think string slippage off the neck would be a problem. The nut alignment, like everything else on this guitar, is flawless. I don't think you'd be disappointed with the DK2S.
I'd considered the sustainer version but money was a factor. I've never used one, but it seems to me that I've always been able to get much the same sustain and feedback using my old setup anyway.
