Looking at getting a Jackson DK2. Just wish it didn't have ivoroid binding.

Does the DK2S have this problem?
Has the DK2S always had ivoroid neck binding?
    Yes
    Shouldn't

I'm interested in getting a DK2S as well. Would appreciate any feedback y'all have on them.

I would advise you to check out the sponsoring dealers here at the JCF - I don't see a link like there used to be, but Matt's has a banner up there at the top of the page, there's Nick at Piney Hills, there's the other Matt I think - all will do you good, a lot better than (hocccccck ptui) Guitar Center!

Search for DK2S if you don't mind used. http://used.guitarcenter.com/usedgear/index.cfm
They have a black one for $399.
I only need one more guitar.

With used, you don't know if they have worn frets.

Yes, it will look brown, depending on the lighting of the room.

I've previously owned a DK2S in amber sunburst (the later one with black hardware). Nice guitar. Like an idiot, I traded it towards an RR24...

Possibly my favorite finish. But it does look exactly like that picture in person.

I think ESP has the best trans finishes I've seen. If Jackson could do a similar trans finish, then I'd go with that no question.

I just got a DK2, without the sustainer, in october pearl, last Tuesday. I've been too busy working 14hr days to post pics, but plan on doing so later today. I believe it's pretty much the same guitar less the sustainer.

I can't speak for the PS4 but I was stunned at the quality of this guitar. Yes the neck is bound, but I don't think string slippage off the neck would be a problem. The nut alignment, like everything else on this guitar, is flawless. I don't think you'd be disappointed with the DK2S.

I'd considered the sustainer version but money was a factor. I've never used one, but it seems to me that I've always been able to get much the same sustain and feedback using my old setup anyway.

Thanks. That sustainer looks pretty cool.
