  • Inferno Red?

    Hi guys,

I'm trying to get a description of what Inferno Red looks like....it's hard to tell from pics. Is it a flat color or does it have some metallic flake in it? I saw one post that says it has some color changing properties based on light.

I have a Ferrari Red so I know what that looks like. Can anyone compare the two?

my DK2M is inferno red-personally I don't like the color, It is a dark redish-pinkish color. It's not flat or metallic but i can see why people would say it changes color depending on light/angle.

Just my $0.2 worth. If you don't mind me asking what are you planning to do?

I'm looking at picking up a DK2L and I found a sweet deal on an Inferno Red, but it wasn't my first choice in color and it would be an online purchase.

For 2010, Jackson dropped all colors but black on the left hand models. The good part about being a lefty is that noone tries to play my guitars. The bad part is that you get a crappy selection unless you go custom.

inferno red is like ferrari red with purple added and all of the intensity and brightness taken out. Gee.... Jackson needs some new colors . They're almost depressing. They should bring back some of the bright colors from the 80's models . http://www.jcfonline.com/images/smilies/headbang.gif

I like the IR color. I had a IR DK2M in the past (wish I still had) that I thought looked good.

Ahhhh those are great pics. Now I understand the whole red with a hint of purple thing.

            Thanks!

Sounds similar to the october pearl finish on my DK2. I like it though.
