  • Jackson PC3

    Hi!

I have a chance to purchase one of the import Phil Collen models, the one with
Wilkinson tremolo, I believe it is 1999 model.

I've never played one, or even seen one live, so I just wanted to ask people how know these things, is it worth buying?
How much are these worth anyway?
Retail price was $875 if I remember correctly.

    Thank you!

Edit. Sorry, wrong forum. Import Jackson Guitars would've been the right one.

Decent guitars... even the older ones with a Wilkinson.
Not worth a penny over $300 IMO.

    I had a 2001 PC3 with the JT-580LP and loved it. (A PC3 is essentially a DK2 with some cosmetic tweaks.)
Still kicking myself for selling it.
I only paid $450 for mine and it was brand new WITH a Jackson hard shell case.

$300 tops? I've seen them on sale for $450-$700, pretty wide price range if you ask me.
I was going to exchange my Ibanez RG550 for this, might have to reconsider.

Anyone asking $450 + for a PC3 with a Wilkinson is on crack.

Your RG550 is worth more than a PC3 with a Wilkinson.

Maybe a straight swap for one with a JT580LP, but a Wilkinson... no way.

You definitely want to see it first. I've seen pics of a few that didn't look very good...

Ok, I'm going to let this deal go.
Thanks, you saved me from a lot of trouble.
