  • Attempting to determine build date of my import

Hello everyone! I've been playing along on my Jackson Rhoads for years now, but I do not know the date of the guitar's creation. I suspect this might have been a custom employee guitar, as there are no serials on the neck (there's not even a plastic-edged fretboard,) no markings on the truss rod cover, and only the simple serial number on the back of the neck plate shows - 9775098.

Could anybody give me some insight as to the year of creation of this wonderful piece of Japanese hardware?

Looks like an RR3 not sure how to date it. but im sure RacerX does.. But All bolt on Japanese models that ive come across never have a serial number stamped on the fretboard, only neckthru imports.

An RR3 would have a pickguard. His appears to be an RX10D. http://www.jacksonguitars.com/produc...uct=2911400303

I was thinking more of the RX10 due to the single volume knob and selector switch but I could be wrong! I'm just a guitar player!

MIJ RX10D like they said. Build date will be in the neck pocket. As will the model.

Will do ASAP (two minutes) no way of telling by serial number? I'd have to remove the neck and look inside the pocket? Guess that'll have to wait till next string change!

                    I think 977 will be around 2006 or 2007

There was enough of the body in the shot to tell there was no pickguard, and thus that it was an RX10D, so the "get the whole guitar in the shot" shit can stop. Yeah yeah I know you guys want to see the full shot to add to your porn collection. Spare me.
