  • Picked up a JDR-94 and got some questions

Hi. I picked up a JDR-94 today and I am very impressed with the playability, very smooth and very solid feeling. Mine has the factory Jackson licensed Floyd Rose double locking on it. My question is how is the quality of these bridges? I am fairly new to the Jackson game except for a hardtail that I had at one time. I have played on this guitar for around 30 mins since I got it home and so far so good it seems on keeping tune(I have been divebombing some to see). Is this a decent FR type? If not, would extra routing have to be done to install an OFR? So far I am loving this ax.

    Any help is much appreciated

did you happen to buy it from me?
    Daniel

    -edit ah you did.
the jt500 is only ok. the best thing to do is replace it with a jt-590.
but depending on how much you use it, it will suffice
keeping all 5 springs in there as i gave it to you helps with the stability of it.

Yep... a JT-590 or Schaller will fit.
An OFR will not fit in the route without some modifications.
