  • Jackson Rhodes V - Professional Series

Looking for some help identifying exactly what it is that I have and possibly what it's worth.

Picked it up in 1993. It is a Jackson Professional Rhodes V, neck thru. Green Metal Flake with an offwhite binding on the neck. Serial Number is J100422. The pickup covers say Jackson however they are active pickups. When I took them out and looked at the pickup itself there are no identifying marks as to who made the pickups.

This is by far the best sounding Jackson I have ever played and I am dying to duplicate the sound in another guitar but to this point have been unable to figure out the electronics in this thing.

Anyone that has any info on this guitar and can tell me anything (other than the obvious that is is a MIJ Professional series guitar) would be appreciated.

Got nothing to say to the topic but... RHOADS. It's a RHOADS, not rhodes. Rhodes is a piano and greek island.

Pickups operate off a 9V battery, that does make them active correct?

there is an active mid boost circuit, the pickups themselves are passive, the battery is for the mid boost circuit

I told you the same thing about the pickups in another thread, then you PM'd me and asked about them again. Guess you didn't respond because you didn't like my answer about them not being active?

Hey Toe, while you're in here, could you please correct Randy's name in the thread title & OP - that's really bugging me having to see this disrespect constantly
