import jackson 22 fret neck vs import charvel model series necks

Hi guys, for those of you on top of things spec wise, how close are the japan made 22 fret Jackson necks to the charvel necks..

not so much in terms of feel.. but, would a jckson 22er fit onto a full strat size body like the charvel model series?

As far as feel, I couldn't say. There are too many variances in Jackson and Charvel necks IMO. Neck quality, profile and finish could be different depending on the country of manufacture, the model or the year.

I assume that it would fit. I have a 22 fret Charvel Model series neck on a cheap import Jackson dinky body (the reverse of what you're thinking of doing) and a USA 22 fret Jackson neck on a full sized USA strat Charvel body and both fit and play well. Neither required any modifications to the neck route and bolted up nicely for me. I have heard that others on the board have had some fit problems so hopefully they'll chime in with the specifics.

cheers man.. sounds like we are indeed trying the opposite... Just wanted to have an idea before I get a charvel body..

Reckon i'll try it. If it doesnt work, I'll sell it off again..
