I'd rather have a maple board with phenolic black fins than the bound rosewood. I"m not an ebony snob by any means, but a Jackson KV with rosewood is just not the same. It's ok for the Gibson V to have rosewood, but not a KV.

I was just looking a Jackson's website and Musicians Friend and the pictures they have don't show binding. I wondering if MF is trying to get rid of the unbound ones? They have the bolted steel at a nice price. The binding does look nicer.
