Jackson Virgin...Got my Jackson DK2M???...Help me ID....Have pics.

This is a follow up to my previous post. I finally received my Jackson Dinky. It's obviously some kind of DK2M. I took a chance on this guitar. It was an Ebay listing from a Pawn Shop. Fortunately, it was in excellent condition. But, I don't know much about this specific DK2M. Anyone out there have this version of the DK2M? I'm starting to wonder if this was a custom paint job. I did some research on the web, and some guy said this was a limited run and there were only 20 or so of these made. Some other guy has pics of this guitar and I'm wondering if it's the exact same guitar.

It's a beautiful guitar, but how killer would this look with some zebra humbuckers, or some red/black SD humbuckers???



Here's a close up of the quilt top. I was kinda surprised that the lower cutaway is not contoured like the standard DK2Ms, which is a feature I like, but I'll get over it.



The back is even nicer than than the front. It's a transparent red/orange color.

I believe that is a feature on SOME Fusions; it is not standard on DK2Ms.

I vote no on zebras, but that's just me.

Ok, thats one vote for leaving the pickups as is.

Btw..the only ibanez ive ever sold went for $300, a few years ago.

There's been many DK2M special runs. Bengal, White Bengal, Blue Bengal, Hot Rod Flames with a single hum....on and on.

The matching headstock is nice because I don't 100% like the stock maple headstock.

I believe that was a special run Orange quilt top. I think I remember Nick at Piney Hills had one in his inventory for awhile.

I actually love the maple head stock on the white DK2M. That's the one that first attracted me to this particular model, but this one with the matching head just looked awesome to me.

the contour looks goofy on trans tops so they drop it.

Wow, that's two votes for not changing out the pick ups to white/black humbuckers I must be gettin tacky in my old age. How about some red/black humbuckers?

I see what you mean. If the red color of the pick ups is brighter than the red finish of the guitar, it might look funny. But I still think if they were similar shades of red, it would look, awesome.

I might try it anyway, out of curiosity.

Yessir, that is def. a DK2M! I own it in snow white and I love it!

I also vote for keeping the pickups as is.
