RR3 for a Telecaster

I have a friend that has a $500 Tele he bought couple of years ago. He is looking at trading it for a RR3. The guy wants $400 or trade. It is black with chrome pick guard/tremolo. I know nothing about RR3s. Does this sound like a fair trade? Is the RR3 similar to my new DK2L just with a different shape?

A new RR3 goes for around $700. They're bolt-on, made in Japan. For the RR shape, yes it's about the same "level" as as DK2.

Seriously, though....back to the original question. I've never had a DK2L, so I can't really tell you how the RR3 neck compares to one, but I have has both a RR3 and a Tele. I can say that I personally liked the feel of the RR3 MUCH more and the slim neck was great. It is very awkward to play sitting down though. I'd say it's a good trade, at least from my perspective.
