Hey everyone...new member, just ordered a Jackson DK2S from GC...should be here by the end of the week!
I just ordered today but I'm already going nuts waiting for it! Gotta love going in and giving someone $1000 and walking out with nothing but a paper receipt and an order number

I could have sworn these were a little cheaper a few years ago. I wish I had held out for the sustainer version when I got my DK2.

They're $999 new everywhere I looked now though

They used to come with a gig bag only and now they come with the hard case, so I believe that is part of the price increase. All Jackson's seem to have gone up in price for a bit except for maybe the JS series. I kind of want a guitar with a sustainer, I think I could do some musically interesting things with it in my band.

The case was a major selling point...it's a Jackson branded Deluxe SKB...so it's not some crap case
I knew what I wanted, so I didn't care what it costs...and I don't think 1 grand is too much to ask for what you get...
Hell the case is probably around..what $120 or so? But the Sustaniac would be like $300 something installed so it was worth the money to me.

It sounds like the same case as the Japanese Charvel Pro-mods comes in. They are superb.

Ya I'm pretty sure that's the one! This is the most expensive guitar I have ever bought for myself, and I'm a tight wad so if I didn't think it was worth it, I wouldn't have gone for it And the fact that it comes with a case like that ^ to protect my new baby is a major plus!

And dang, even though Black is the most unoriginal finish EVER, it still looks so damn classy ^^. Congrats in advance, I hope you will post real pics once you have it !? And tell us your first impressions, cause I'd like one of these myself :p

GC only had the Black or Red...not a fan of red guitars, unless it's Vai's from Crossroads
But I agree, looks sexy!

I will definitely post pics when it gets here...along with first impressions...
