  • Jackson DK3 -- why discountinued so quickly

Hi there. I have a DK3 which I am assuming is from 2000 because they seemed to only make them for a single year (based on my search of the catalogs). I like the HSH versus HSS that Jacksons have and I am not into Ibanez guitars so it is kinda like the perfect DK for me -- I assume that others would be in the same boat.

          Why no bound neck?

I've never even heard of a DK3 before. HSH would be a nice option for the line up.

it is in the 2000 cagalog on page 10 and interesting, most of the DK's don't have a bound neck on that page of the catalog; it almost looks as if it is the only DK on the page that has binding. The spec page is too small to read. I have seen 2 or 3 other pics of the DK3 and they all had no binding as well.

Crafted with the demands of the discernible player in mind, Jackson guitars give you the shapes, finishes and tones you love. From the venerable Rhoads, Soloist, Warrior and more, shop Jackson for the highest performance.

it is on page 10 along with the other DK's -- listed as "New" but not listed the following year.
