Dude, if the metal tone is missing in the boddy, don't buy it. Unless you're a jazz player.

Once the metal tone is taken out of a Rhoads boddy, all hope is lost.

He was kidding with you because 'tones' is not the correct or common term. If the guitar is missing a couple of pots (potentiometers), it is usually a cheap fix if you know what you're doing and can handle a soldering iron. If you don't, you should move on to a complete, functioning guitar and forget this one. I'd also be concerned that there were other problems. Do you know if the pickups work or if there is anything missing?

Seriously, it's just an Eerie Dess finished RR3. Sold for about $900-$1000 new. Just for reference, I picked up my Crimson Swirl RR3 for $200US a year or two ago. I had not a single scratch, ding or blemish.

If the one you are looking at is in rougher shape, I wouldn't go over $200

Well, the damn thing is awfully pointy. I WAS referring to myself...lol. I was able to play it without scratching or dinging myself. I was however pre-blemished.

IT had not a single scratch, etc.

This has been an interesting thread.
