  • NGD! Mark Morton Signature

First post and NGD for me! Showroom model for half the price of a new one on the bay! Swapped out the Alnico 5 in the 59 bridge to Alnico 8, it singing pretty sweet!

Brother shot with my old Jackson SLSMG Gloss Black!

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on a beautiful guitar! I got one when they first came out, in Bourbon Burst, and love it. I can't convince myself to swap out the '59s, though.

Thanks! another reason why im so glad is that I got it for 850usd mint, so i was thrilled!

Yeah, i was trying the guitar's stock 59, and the bite wasn't big enough for me , i play death metal. I had a UoA5 and a A8 lying around, so i just swapped the bridge with the A8 and bam, singing highs and mids.

The neck is really fat, but it feels so sturdy to pound riffs on. I love it! The almost flat ebony fretboard is also really smooth so u can get thick and highs when soloing.

Setting up my POD HD500 up with my new axe and so far its sounding pretty solid!

I usually play thrash and death metal type music, just crank the gain on my amp and go! The '59s sound pretty clear and articulate for me. I also love the fat neck on it, seems like a thicker version of the King V's D-shape "speed neck" profile.

I put PRails+TripleShots in mine (Old Skool Burst).
              And an L.R. Baggs T-Bridge.
              And a MODBoards compressor

Kicks ass all over the place

Wish it had a Floyd, though

To me, it's odd that that model would be outfitted with 59s, lol. But they are good sounding, articulate pups. A good place to start, I guess. Congrats dude.

Well, Mark was reportedly swapping out various pickups at the time, and hadn't settled on a particular pair for his own guitar. Maybe they figured since it was inspired by the Jazz'R to go ahead and give it Jazz'R pickups (thought admittedly those were 59/Jazz).

Congrats! I've owned 4 Dominions...still have 2...and they've been my main guitars for some time now. Super versatile. I've got a Duncan Custom and Pearly Gates in one and I just got a pair of Breeds for the other...last I was aware, Mark was using the Breeds in all of his.

Wow, yeah i heard Mark was using Breeds, how are they compared to the stock 59s tho? less brighter sounding and more low middy as like in normal mahogany guitars? i might be enticed to change em to breeds too
