Jackson DX10D Holoflash

Here is my DX10. I put a holoflash finish on it and I think it turned out pretty good.

I like it, but I'm curious, did you seal up the rest of the body? I once had a guitar repainted, but only the front was done, so the graphic started peeling off immediately.

To answer a couple questions.

MarkD: Is it hard to do? It depends on the type of clear coat thats on the guitar. My first holo attempt was on a Kramer Striker that I had repainted. The flash went on without a problem. I had a lot of problems getting the flash to adhere to the clear coat that Jackson puts on their guitars.

wilkinsi: I didnt apply a clear coat over the flash. I cleared over the headstock on the Kramer and the clear took some of the luster away from the flash. Once the flash is applied its not coming off unless you sand it or use a heat scraper. It adheres very well.

You could have lightly scuffed the clear on the Jackson and it may have stuck better just a thought.

great job. i've seen some holo jobs where the holo is spotty, which looks like hell. but your's is pretty good. congrats! black hardware would look better imho.

that looks great.....I bet it would look very cool on a DK2M with matching headstock.. I guess ill have to work on my interest on how to learn guitar finishes now..
