Built Myself a Warrior today..

Long story on how this came to be, basically, it's a DK2M neck, Dimebucker\JB, Gotoh floyd(which has some sort of brass sustain block installed. it weights like 5 pounds) and the body is from a WRXT. Looks 100x more badass in person.



It looks pretty and all, but I haven't gotten to play it yet.. I still have to set up the floyd before I can go to war with it, but I'll get some sound clips or something once I do.

Looks awesome actually... Trans-red (or any red) with maple and a black hardware is surly a win. I might do the same thing one day if Jackson doesn't offer us more Warrior options in the near future. Do you have more pics without a flash BTW?

Thanks guys. Yeah, I looked oneebay for about a month with no luck. Wanted a KV, Kelly, or Warrior. Nothing decent came up, and I didn't trust dragonfire's King V replacement bodies to be of decent quality.
I found a complete WRXT locally and bought the whole thing, gutted it and took only the body, the rest was parts I had in my basement.

I'm not completely happy with the Dimebucker, I've tried it in several guitars and never loved the sound. I wanted it to put in the neck of my KV1 so I could do dave's little trick where he uses the blades as extra frets.. but the dimebuckers blades are flush with the pickup, so you can't. I may swap it to the neck of this guitar, though.

Must say though, now that I have it all set up, feels awesome. awesome sustain, intonation and playability, Feels just like a USA jackson

Agreed, nice combo. I was eyeing that TransRed WRXT on Ebay recently but didn't pull the trigger. I was gonna do the same thing so my black/maple one would have a buddy:

Thanks, but you're wrong about the head - it gives it that look of something you could throw at someone and stick it through their chest, whereas the standard pointy still looks like a hockey stick. Doesn't look bad on Warbird Warriors because it gives the feel of a futuristic jet fighter nosecone.
However, on any other Warrior, it looks like a spout for one of those old oil cans that you have to jab into the lid

Very nice. DK2M necks look great on anything. I need to get myself another one!
