  • DK2M with misaligned neck

Hey all, new here but looks like a great forum.

Recently bought a new Dk2M (an ex-demo model) and i'm having issues with the strings not being centred on the neck or above the pickups. According to some online strat forum user, the neck is not bolted on straight and i should unscrew it and realign it. Being a completely amateur guitar fixer, i just wanted to get you folks' opinions on what to do, and if this is even the problem. Any help appreciated!

    Cheers!

Yep. Loosen the screws maybe 1/4 to 1/2 turn and gently pull the neck to the "right" (toward the skinny string side) to get the strings in the middle, then tighten the bolts back up, tight but not too tight.

Don't forget to loosen the string tension first!

I never do... You don't need to loosen it that much.

Thanks, I've straightened it as far as it seems to go, which is close but not perfect. Thinking of just removing strings and dismantling to get a good look.
