Kinda looks like the dinky hx I used to have. Is that color a blue or more of a green?

It's like the green color on a sprite can, it looks a bit metallic too.

Thats the same color mine was. Are those pickup rings attached to the pickups or just for show. I think the hx had direct mount pups. Is one of the controls a push-pull coil tap?

I looked at the guitar, I think the rings are Just screwed on from what I see. The knobs are very frail actually so I wouldn't try and pull to see if it has a coil tap. I can turn them but if too much pressure was put on them it would probably break some wiring. There is a name and S.S number on the inside section.

If the pickups are in fact direct mounted to the body then it looks like a dinky hx. Not many were made but that doesnt make them valuable.

Yeah, I did a bit of research on here and figured it is a Dinky HX. I know it isn't worth much, but I feel that it will be worth something way down the line.

I think there were only 100 of those made.
Post a pic of the back.
                I had a 3 humbucker version.Killer guitar.
Worth a lot? No but the fact these are limited in numbers might bring decent money.
                Really? well screw Mark Twain.

A 3-humbucker version would have been a Stealth HX (22 frets, also) and not a Dinky HX.

I have a black Dinky HX and also had a red one.

I have a sprite green, black, and an orange one that was once.... black/dragged behind a pickup down a gravel road.

I want a maroon one as thats the one I had first as a kid.

No, it won't. Not ever. The tragedy of Jackson is they have so many Dinky variations that failed because of a lack of focus. They put out variant after variant after variant trying to cater to every nitpicky smegment of the market and wound up selling a handful of each to a handful of people, so the markets are very specific and very thin. 20 years from now, that guitar will not be worth more than what it goes for today, because the handful of people who would want it will not pay more than they remember paying for it 20 years ago, and since there will only be a handful of them, they won't have to worry about competition driving up the price.
