    As you're in the EU, you won't pay import duties from any other EU member so you could always buy from ebay.co.uk, .de, .fr etc. For example, there's a DK2T plus case on ebay.co.uk at the moment that, with shipping to Poland, would be about 1500 PLN.

    That's not really the full story, at least with reference to a Jackson guitar. Products from outside the EU are inevitably more expensive because of import duties on goods coming in from outside. For example, on a guitar shipped into Ireland from the US the duty would be 6% of the purchase plus shipping price and the value-added-tax would be 21% on top of all of that (including the duty!). Protectionism. All nations do it, including the US. You wouldn't believe the cost of bananas in Australia when their own crop fails, as to protect their producers they have insane import duties...

      To ship USA to UK, the VAT is 20%, but the import duty is actually 3.7%.

        It's usually Price + cost S/H + Duty then throw VAT over that entire amount
