Picked this up off eBay. Couldn't resist for $155. Not sure what model it is. Looks like a Dinky Reverse Professional neck with the inlays like that, but it doesn't have "Professional" on the head stock. The body looks kinda like a DX10.

Umm.......................... I havent got it yet so that would be most difficult at this time. If I had the serial number I wouldnt have to ask. No need to be an a$$ about it. I wouldnt consider myself a "newb" as I have been here for a while.Charvel Style 2 2H San Dimas

You are a newb, and I posted in caps because there have been mucho posts just like yours...and it gets annoying. You don't have it yet? OK, how about the asking the seller for the serial number?"Quiet, numbskulls, I'm broadcasting!" -Moe Howard, "Micro-Phonies" (1945)

If you dont like them then dont read or respond! Doh! daehkcid! Not to mention I dont think I would get a response this late at night. You have been a huge help though. And to think this supposed to be a place where Jackson/Charvel enthusiasts help each other.
OMG! How horrible it is of me to ask a question about a guitar Im unfamiliar with. Whats your definition of "mucho posts"? I have asked about 3 guitars. You must not be able to count very high if that is "mucho" to you.
Talk about annoying. LMAO

Here's a list of some dickhead moves (you're an expert at those it seems)
-accuses others of negative traits he actually possesses? check
-has a huge list of gear in sig line? check
-said list includes lame gear? check
and finally (click here first: http://instantrimshot.com/index.php?sound=drumroll )
-buys guitar on eBay without knowing what it is

Wow! What insults. Those hurt so bad! You must be all of 12 years old. Well, only acting like it. Grow up!
I guess there are a lot of "dickheads" here since a lot of people put their gear in their sigs. Jealous much?Last edited by EOT1; 08-14-2011, 01:27 AM.Charvel Style 2 2H San Dimas

Awesome thread.
No idea on the model, but seeing as how Jackson had like 12000 different Dinky models, the only thing for certain is it's a Dinky
And neckswaps are common. Could be a Dinky Rev neck on a DX body, could be an original India model that no one wanted because of those inlays.
Even neckplates can be swapped.
Best way to tell is to have the seller remove the trem springs (but don't loosen the strings first), then remove the neck and see what's on the heel and in the pocket.I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

Agreed. If you're comfortable with it, take the neck off and look to see what (if anything) is stamped in the neck pocket and on the neck heel.
And for the record, I like those offset dots more than the old standard dots myself.

This thread is a great example of why so many people lurk rather than post!
I can understand a frequent user being frustrated at seeing the the same/similar quetion being asked regularly by new/infrequent users but it doesn't mean you should have a go at them. A polite nudge in the right direction would sort it out without the need for a thread full of mud slinging!
As for the jibes over who's gear is better... come on fellas!
I'm off to lurkers corner again.Power chords...what more do you need?!
