Gee, so apparently this was a good question. Thanks for the clarification ToeJam. I'll pass on Made in India Jacksons. I've seen and played enough bad ones. I just got my new Korean DBZ Bird of Prey and couldn't be happier. The quality in construction and fretwork is amazing.

Eh to each their own man. Personally I've played enough JS series guitars to know they're a good bang for the price. The only thing that deterred me mainly was the body wood.

Sorry, but I'm drunk as hell (though that has no ill effect on my impeccable grammar and punctuation ). As such, my filter isn't working too well. Alas, that Bird of Prey has got to be the ugliest fucking guitar I have ever seen. Regardless, to each his/her own. That said, perhaps your take on the Dragonball Z fiddle should be posted in "Guitars by Other Manufacturers", as it's not quite an "Import Jackson Guitar". Maybe I'm just a drunken bitter Jackson fanboy. Then again, I'd say I'm pretty forgiving. After all, going into a certain drug dealers hood touting his competitors products over their own will most likely leave you black and blue at the very least, so I think I'm being pretty fair. Anyways, if you disagree, by all means, feel free to speak on it, and I'll probably apologize tomorrow, once sobered. Ciao!

Hahahaha, it's all cool. Hey, we've all seen and heard for years about quality problems with the Made in India Jacksons. Just look at threads regarding guitars like the Kelly Star. Everyone knows to find a 2000 Japanese KS-2 over a 2001-02 India KSXT. What really amazes me about Jackson is that they never took the Korea route. World Guitars and UnSung Guitars in Korea are putting out near USA quality right now.

Obviously the MII guitars aren't exactly the best, but i've never heard any complaints about them other than the cheap hardware which is easily replacable.
It's all about the blues-rock chatter.

Now this is kind of funny. This exact discussion was going on the Jackson Guitars website forum. The "official" response from the Jackson company guy was this:

"These guitars are not made in Japan, but are made at other factories in and around Asia and the Near-East, that have “mucho” experience in building Jackson models, and understand that these guitars need to have “mojo”. ‘Nuff said."

The term "factories" is a bit disturbing. These things could be made just about anywhere.

They did. charvettes and some mid nighties jacksons. the ps4 after the first year was korean. I had a ps1 (that looked like a js1) that was made in korea. had to go thru a lot of them before I found one that didn't have a bad scarf joint. they were not the best quality. I like the js series myself and the korea guitars cost almost as much as the japanese jacksons.

Glad to see somebody fortunate enough to own such fine pieces as RR0025 can still appreciate these new cheaper budget axes.

Man one of my best jacksons is a RR24M. That thing just plays awesome.

But I love budget guitars. Favorite non jackson brand is Agile. Best modified les paul design out there imo

In the video check out the guy spraying 2k poly laquer over necks and bodies with just a muslin dust mask on....or don't they use isocyanates anymore over there?

Did anyone check the size of that pin router on the CNC out iof interest?
