    Soloist Pro Help Needed

    Hey guys!

    I have a 1990 Soloist Pro, which is a great player. It has the original JE1200 mid-boost preamp and pickups.

    For some reason it sounds very shrill and raspy when played trough a 6505. I am looking for clues what's the best way to deal with the shrillness.

    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Have the electonics been modded? Also try using a different cord(had a bad one once and sounded terrible)

      Mine sounded the same way to me when the JE1200 was switched on. Hated the sound. But when it was switched off it sounded good.
      I'm not sure if there was actually a problem with it or not...just never used the boost.

        My boost sounds great when on. I think yours has issues.

          Adjust the EQ on the amp...
