How much did the vinyls wind up costing you?
This is coming out great!
Thanks! The prints were $50, with a few bucks added for shipping. Every other car wrap place I had contacted was charging at least $75-100. Also, most "guitar-wrap" or "axe-wrap" sites would cost around $100 as well, so I thought this was a pretty good deal considering I get to customize my print. And compared to legit custom paint jobs, this is way cheaper (for equally cool results - in my opinion of course). I got the green vinyl on eBay for like $4.
I got my Axe Wrap sheet from http://www.axewraps.com for about 26 or 27 bucks for the full uncut sheet, shipped. Definitely cheaper than a full paint job.

So, my original headstock decal was designed for a standard style headstock, and the more I look at it on the reverse headstock, the weirder it looks. So, I think you all know what that means...
It just looks "right" with the Jackson logo, and since this is an actual Jackson neck, why not?
So I messed up, and did not properly prep the neck pickup cavity, and it showed it's ugly face a few days after I applied the adhesive vinyl and painted the edges. Luckily I have the other print, but this will set me back a couple of steps. I thought about just clearing over it anyway, but I don't think I would be able to live with that:
I was a little surprised, mainly because the volume, tone, and selector switch fills were problem free.
The backside of the print pulled off most of the black paint. Not bad, since I would have sanded through it anyway.
At least the back looks nice!
I looked up some info regarding cavity fills (guess I should have done a more thorough search before), and I came across some good pictures on the Kramer forum that mention beveling the edge of the cavity as well as the plug, so that way the filler can feather over both of those edges. I feel dumb for not thinking of that before, but I guess you can't win them all. I won't have my materials until next week, so standby until then, and have a good holiday!
Made some progress today. Refilled the (previously beveled) neck pup cavity, applied the vinyl to the top, smoothed the edges, and applied black paint over the edges:
