Also, I'm on to can #2 of the SprayMax clear, so I should hopefully be done with all paint by today!

It's coming along, I've been waiting about an hour between each coat. I should have about 2 more coats left, then I'll let it dry over night, and it'll hopefully be ready to sand tomorrow. So close I can taste it!

Finished my clear coats, here's the headstock:



I made a little lip with tape so that way the clear would build up around the edges:


Got a nice orange peel going:

Now comes the fun:





A quick score with my x-acto and frets were ready for some steel wool:








I sanded the headstock with 1000, then 1500, then went straight to medium followed by fine. Worked like a charm!

I've never been a fan of neon and tiger striped anything but you've made me a believer lol. +1 for the pink strap... it looks totally bad-ass (can't believe I just said that about a pink strap lmao). Haha! I totally understand about thinking the pink strap is awesome, in any other context it would be ridiculous!

I'm going with the JT-580LP that came with the guitar. I was thinking about fixing the route to mount a Floyd, but I didn't have any problems with the trem before, so I figured I would just keep it.

Ya I have a JT-580LP in my DX10D, I have no problems with the actual trem just the locking nuts (not Jacksons fault, I got it used and the guy who owned b4 me had the locks on sideways... so they got some weird wear on them lol)... and i totally understand the need for the crazy strap I am currently rockin a bright teal strap on my Metallic Black cherry LTD EC-100, love the looks i get from the other metalheads when i pull that baby out. definately gunna have to get me one of the dimarzio straps with the clip locks... i wanna neon yellow one myself :P
