I agree with Pro-fusion about some of the mods necessary to make this a player - new tuners and pups for sure. Fret buzz on the first fret E & A strings, once set up this thing will be top of my grab list. This is my first Jackson and definitely won't be my last.

Could be a photo flame over a maple veneer. Either way, that's a very nice-looking guitar.

It's not PERFECTLY symmetrical so it doesn't look like a mirrored imaged if that's what you're insinuating, but yeah it's a nice top. I really doubt Jackson would go with binding, neck-through construction and all then only to cheap out on a veneer.
