Nice score! Funnily enough, I have just bought the same guitar today! I paid €230 for mine. I have taken her apart and it is definitely a DR5 (1997), that's what it says in the neck pocket and neck heel. The bridge is a Takeuchi, at least that is what is engraved in the block. I will post pics as soon as I can.

Hi jdr94, Here are a couple pictures of my new axe after I took it apart. It is definitely not as clean as yours but should play like butter after a nice set up. Pick up swap is next in my list

I am a bit confused about the serial number on my guitar. It has 6 digits but starts with a 7. I have been looking around the forum and it should start by 0-5 (depending on the year) or 96/97/98 if it is a Japanese professional model. Am I missing something? thanks!

Hey Capelo, I was lookin at ur pics and it appears your 24th fret dots are smaller. Are they or is it an optical illusion cause all my dots are the same size.
Well actually mines are just a hair smaller on the 12/24 but just barely

Both neck and pocket are stamped dr5 3-2Last edited by jdr94; 12-19-2011, 10:10 PM.
