  • NGD: Jackson Elite KV QSLVR (pics incl.)

    Hi,

I've just received this "monster of tone" this morning and I felt like sharing it with you all.

It came with a pair of pretty regular seymour duncans' (JB bridge, Jazz neck) and some sort of an active circuit which i can't really identify yet. Any further info on the subject from your part will be highly appreciated.

Silver 6-in a row gotoh Jackson machine heads

Silver German made OFR with stainless steel string block screws and locking nut screws.

24 Jumbo stainless steel frets (that's what's stated in various websites but to be honest they feel nickel to me)

Silver Shark Fin inlays (a strange short of plastic thing)

    Reaaally good Ebony fingerboard

    3 way blade pickup switch

    1 master volume
    1 master tone
1 master of something like an eq enhancer... -ish

I should also mention that it came with Dunlop strap locks
    Silver pickup bezels.
Some short of a black brushed aluminum tremolo and electronics cavity covers.

It feels really lightweight, it plays like hell and it sounds like nothing else I've ever heard, this thing is huge.

    Anyway enjoy.

I saw one on thomann.de and instantly fell in love with it. Wish i had a job.

Didn't delete my post fast enough. Some PC's in here block photobucket. Nice guitar BTW.

Nice! I played one of the elite Rhoads' they had at NAMM, it played really awesome. Couldn't plug it in so I'm not sure on sound, but it sounds like it does not disappoint! Very good looking as well

Congratulations. That's a sweet guitar. Love the matching headstock.

Silly question, but is the back-cavity cover plastic or metal?

Great. That's like USA guitars. The J2 or TN02 Jackson Stars had plastic.

After some research i found out that the eq thingy is a Jackson JE 1200 mid booster.
                    It also adds sustain.

                      Does this King-V nose dive?

Is this the one from Sweetwater? I was about to pull the trigger on that and it was gone Looks SWEET as hell. I'm wondering what those inlays are all about. Are they as dark as they look in photos? Also does anyone know if these are the last of the MIJ models?

Not at all, quite the contrary i would suggest, It's my first KV i can play sitting down without having the strap on.

No, I got it from thomann, I'm from EU.
The inlays are silver but they aren't metal, plastic is my guess. It does look a tinny tad darker (nothing dramatic).
The cool thing's that in certain angles the fingerboard looks totally black, but only in certain angles and very few ones.
Otherwise it looks pretty standard, no-one would notice even from a close distance.
