I haven't owned a guitar since I was a teenager, and I had to pawn those off to pay rent due to being young and irresponsible. Now, being in my 40's and paying most of my paycheck to child support, I want a jackson really bad but I don't have a lot of money. You guys seem to be fond of mij jackson's when it comes to imports, and I found a dude locally who has one with a reverse headstock, which is something I've always dreamed of owning. I've seen the guitar briefly and can tell you that it has emg hz pickups,(non overdrive) off-white binding, and a jackson fr trem on it. I wasn't smart enough to write down the serial # but will do that today because i'm going to play it later. If I post the serial# here can you guys tell me if it's an mij?

Usually.
The guitar plays good, there's no sign of fret wear at all and only a couple of minor dings. The guy was using a guitar stand thankfully and the tip of the headstock was nearly perfect. I got the guitar and a nice gig bag with a big fender logo on it for $250 bucks. He wanted $300 for it originally, but I think hanging out and drinking beer with him for over an hour made him like me.
Other than it being a dk, I have no idea what year or model this thing is. The guy I got it from didn't know either. Hopefully it's worth $250 but to me it definitely is, the action is lower than any guitar I've ever owned and there's no bad spots in the neck that I've found. I've heard you guys say some negative things about these hz pickups, and I'm pretty sure I agree with you. They're not very crunchy
I really appreciate this forum and I think I will learn a lot by reading ya'lls posts. I'm really excited about my guitar so I'm going to go play it. Thanks again

Not a DKMG, those have Piranhas.
With the full sharkies, I'm guessing DXMG.

Thank you guys for the nice words, it's very much appreciated. I have tried using google image search to figure out which model it is, but I didn't get far.
Before I decided to buy used, I went to the gc here in oklahoma city just to see if there was anything new I could afford. Thinking that something in the X series would be right up my alley, I pulled a snow white kelly off the wall and strummed it a bit. One of the frets on it was sharp on the bottom and sticking out just slightly past the fretboard.. it was a bit disheartening to see. I showed it to a salesperson that was near me and he was put off that I was bothering him with it. I know it must be hectic for them down there on the weekends, but that guitar needed to be looked at.

It is definately a DXMG, I have one in GMG, but swapped the pups, didn't care for them. They are nice players, really nice. Basswood body, rosewood board, MOTO inlays. You did good for the price IMO. I've never had a problem with the LFR other than the arm getting loose enough to swing freely.
